The
Berlin Musical
Instruments Museum
The Berlin Musical
Instruments Museum was founded in 1888 and is now housed in a new
building
designed according to sketches by the architect Hans Scharoun and
located at
Berlin’s Cultural Forum next to the Berlin Philharmonic Concerthall.
More than
800 instruments of a collection of 3,200 from the 16th century to the
present
day are on display and many are still in good playing condition. The
museum
contains one of Germany’s best and most diverse collections of musical
